Secret Hideaway
This space was an overgrown unused area at the bottom of the garden. A bamboo forest was growing on top of an old concrete air-raid shelter. After discussing the clients needs we transformed the area into a secluded peaceful retreat using Ipe hardwood decking.
Child-friendly garden maximizing the space
We created this space to be very child friendly. After reducing the size of the spiky overgrown Lots of open space for them to run around, raised beds to protect plants from flying footballs and easy access for family gardening projects. Remembering to round off all sharp corners on the timbers of course!
Entertaining area
The idea behind this project was to create an outside space where the client could feel like they were entertaining in a jungle! This was achieved using Indian sandstone patio and slightly raised beds. The client asked for some initial planting ideas so we used black bamboo and phormiums to create height at the rear. When mature this garden will be a peaceful hidden gem!
